We hand bottle a very limited amount of 3-liter bottles each year of our Altaneve DOCG Prosecco and our Altaneve Rosé. These big bottles are called “Jeroboams” (this name is given to 3-liter bottles of sparkling wine and 5-liter bottles of still wine – we also don’t know why there is a difference), and more commonly, these 3-liter bottles are called “Double Magnums.”

On the fun side, these bottles are a crowd pleaser to open and pour at a friend’s house or a party. More importantly, there is something very special about the wine in these large-format bottles, because the wine actually tastes better and stays fresher longer when stored in these larger formats than in the smaller 750ml bottles.
